Donation Guidelines

We request that all donations are clean and in good working order.
Drop off your donation at our store, or for larger donations call us to arrange for pickup.

Appliances

All appliances must be less than 7 years old, clean and in 100% working order with no missing parts. Please include owners manuals if you have them, as they add value to your donation.

Accepted:
- Dishwashers (Must be less than 5 years old)
- Cook-tops
- Washers/Dryers
- Ovens/Ranges (Drop-in or free-standing)
- Refrigerators
- Microwave ovens

Not Accepted:
- Double Ovens
- Non-working
- Rusted
- Missing parts
- No electronics (TVs, VCRs..)
- No water heaters (Unless new)
- No small appliances (Blenders, toasters..) (Unless new)

Cabinets

Accepted:
- Complete sets of kitchen/bathroom cabinets.
- Must have all doors, drawers, shelves, etc.
- Door hardware; Drawer pulls

Not Accepted:
- No water damaged or soiled cabinets
- No cabinets missing doors or drawers
- No medicine cabinets (Unless new)

Countertops

Accepted:
- Straight countertops in neutral colors (4ftx18in minimum)

Not Accepted:
- No countertops with cut-outs or L-shaped (Unless part of a complete set of cabinets)
- No water damaged countertop

Doors *Sorry, we do not pickup doors.

Accepted:
- Interior/Exterior doors
- Residential only (No slabs taller than 7 feet)
- Sliding glass doors (Only if new, with all hardware)
- Thresholds and weather stripping (Only if new)

Not Accepted:
- No doors with rot, damaged corners
- No single sliding glass doors, unassembled
- No steel, commercial slab doors
- Free of peeling paint

Electrical

Accepted:
- Plugs
- Plates
- Wire

Flooring

Accepted:
- Tile (Unopened quantities of 10 sq.ft. or more)
- Hardwood/Parquet flooring (25 sq.ft.)
- Vinyl tile, sheet vinyl
- Slate, marble
- Area rugs in new condition

Not Accepted:
- Tile - No broken corners, no grout/glue on either face
- Carpet

Furniture

Accepted:
- Wood and metal furniture
- Office furniture (no modular desks ie: IKEA)
- Framed mirrors

Not Accepted:
- No upholstered furniture (including couches, sofa beds)
- No Entertainment Centers
- No torn, stained, or broken furniture
- No mattresses
- No unframed mirrors
- No framed pictures
- No headboards

Hardware

Accepted:
- Hardware for doors, cabinets, etc.
- Hinges
- Hangers
- Connectors
- Fasteners: unopened boxes of nails, screws, bolts, etc.

Not Accepted:
- No locks without keys
- No broken items
- No loose nails, screws, bolts

Insulation

Accepted:
- Fiberglass insulation rolls only if brand new and unopened
- Insulation board if new (16 sq.ft. or larger)

Not Accepted:
- No used or unwrapped fiberglass insulation
- No insulation board less than 16 sq.ft.

Lighting

Accepted:
- Lighting at discretion of ReStore staff
- Good to excellent; All hardware included; In working order
- Prefer eclectic, unique fixtures

Not Accepted:
- No fluorescent fixtures
- No ballasts with pcb's

Lumber

Accepted:
- Dimensional (6 foot minimum, treated or non-treated)
- Trim and molding (5 foot minimum)
- Sheet goods (1/2 sheet minimum, particle, press, plywood, OSB, paneling, etc).
- Floor joists (12 foot minimum)
- Porch posts
- Railings
- Fence

Not Accepted:
- Please no nails, screws, or staples
- No painted/stained boards
- No cracked, broken, rotted or warped
- No scraps, please

Paint

Accepted:
- New, unopened paint

Not Accepted:
- No opened, used paint
- No wallpaper, borders (Unless new)

Plumbing

Accepted:
- Sinks (Wall mount sinks should include wall mount plate)
- Kitchen sinks (No rust or cracks)
- Bathroom vanities (No stains. Neutral colors.)
- Bathtubs (Claw foot tubs, other architecturally significant tubs)
- Shower enclosures (Only accept new)
- Toilets (Residential white/off-white complete units only. Must be clean!)
- Faucets (Complete sets only)
- PVC pipes (10 foot minimum)
- Misc plumbing hardware

Not Accepted:
- No bathubs (except as noted)
- No colored toilets or partial units
- No rust, cracks, stains, or water damage
- No medicine cabinets (Unless new)

Roofing

Accepted:
- Corrugated roofing/standing seam (No rust)
- Vinyl siding in new condition (500 sq.ft. minimum)
- Shingles (Must be new; 100 sq.ft. minimum)
- Metal sheeting
- Gutters (Must be new; 10 foot minimum)

Not Accepted:
- No shingles less than 100 sq.ft.
- No partial rolls of paper/felt

Tools

Accepted:
- Hand and power tools in working condition

Not Accepted:
- Cannot accept tools without safety's/guards, if applicable

Windows *Only New Windows Accepted

Accepted:
- Complete window units
- Double pane
- Screens
- Shutters in good condition

Not Accepted:
- No used windows
- No window blinds (Unless new)
